Affogato
Ice-cream and espresso are two Coffeestrokes favorites. Put them together, and you get a dessert called Affogato-- Italian for "drowned." Affogato is best with a scoop of vanilla gelato (today we used Talenti!) and a fresh shot of espresso poured over. Hope you give it a try!

Talenti Gelato
An all-time Coffeestrokes frozen favorite is Talenti Gelato. Just trust us-- take a trip to Vons, pick up a tub, and you will be set for anything from a movie night to a late night study cram. Oh, and forget about bowls as well-- just take a spoon and dig in!

Vanilla Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting
Super reminiscent of everyone's favorite cheesecake, these vanilla cupcakes are easy to make and pungent in flavor.
Recipe taken from Allrecipes
Ingredients for Simple White Cake:
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
Ingredients for Cream Cheese Frosting:
- powdered sugar
- butter
- cream cheese
- vanilla extract
Supplies for Decoration:
- cupcake liners
- striped paper straws
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then add the vanilla extract. Combine the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl, then add it to the wet mixture. Finally, stir in the milk and mix well.
3. Pour the batter into the muffin pans, then place into the preheated oven.
4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until nicely browned.
5. Let cool, then frost with cream cheese frosting, and add the decorations.
