Vanilla Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting


Super reminiscent of everyone's favorite cheesecake, these vanilla cupcakes are easy to make and pungent in flavor.

Recipe taken from Allrecipes

Ingredients for Simple White Cake:
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
-  2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk

Ingredients for Cream Cheese Frosting:
- powdered sugar
- butter
- cream cheese
- vanilla extract

Supplies for Decoration:
- cupcake liners
- striped paper straws

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
2. In a medium-sized bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and then add the vanilla extract. Combine the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl, then add it to the wet mixture. Finally, stir in the milk and mix well. 
3. Pour the batter into the muffin pans, then place into the preheated oven.
4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until nicely browned.
5. Let cool, then frost with cream cheese frosting, and add the decorations.
